November Meeting

November Meeting
Hi Ladies, the November meeting will be Tuesday November 4 at 7PM in the Lebanon room. There will be no dinner club. The meeting will be short and then we will be preparing for Breakfast with Santa. Hope to see you there!

September Meeting

Hi Ladies the next ladies meeting will be Tuesday September 2, 2014 at 7 P.M. in the Lebanon room. There will be dinner club before the meeting at 5:30 P.M.

School Supply Drive

Help the Ladies Society collect school supplies for the less
fortunate. We will be accepting donations through the month of August. Drop in the box on your way into church.


HERE ARE SOME IDEAS:
Pens, Pencils, Filler paper, markers, crayons, back packs, glue/glue sticks, rulers, scissors, folders, note books, binders, index cards, calculators, etc.
 

 

Ice Cream Social

The Ladies will be hosting an Ice Cream Social on Sunday August 24, 2014. The social will go from 10am-1pm.

Stop by and enjoy some coffee, donuts, and of course, ice cream. There will be lots of laughing, camaraderie, members of different committees to talk to and much more!

Be sure to stop by and help us kick off the beginning of another fabulous year!

May Meeting

Hi Ladies,

The May ladies meeting will be  Tuesday May 13, 2014. The meeting will start with 6:30 p.m. mass and then the meeting will follow in the Lebanon room. I hope everyone can attend!

Mini Retreat

Hi Ladies,

The mini retreat will be June 20-21, 2014 with Fr. Gary at the Maronite Heritage Institute. If you have any questions please contact Joan Rask.

Friday, June 20th from 6pm to 9:30pm and

Saturday, June 21st from 9am to 5pm

at the Maronite Heritage Center - 1021 S. 10th Street, 63104
 

Snacks will be provided - as well as a light lunch on Saturday.

 We will end with the 5pm liturgy on Saturday.

Cost is $20.
 
Open to the men, women, and teenagers of the parish and any outside guests.

Please bring in baby items that will be donated to Nurses for Newborns on Sunday May 11, 2014. There will be a drop box in the vestibule for the items. Here is a list of some of the items they need...

Here are so upcoming events to add to your calendars:

The first event Joan Rask talked about in our last meeting. It is the movie series on Catholicism that will be on Monday evenings starting January 27.

Watch the Ground Breaking Documentary of Our Faith at the Maronite Heritage Institute!

Catholicism is a groundbreaking Documentary Film Series and multi-media Study Program.  The ten, 50-minute DVD episodes take viewers around the world and deep into the Faith, spanning over 50 locations in 15 countries - stunningly filmed in high-definition.

These will be shown two episodes at a time, with a break in between, on Monday evenings, beginning January 27 through February 24, at the Maronite Heritage Institute.  Starting time is yet to be determined. Probably around 6:30 P.M.

Catholicism illustrates the truth, goodness, and beauty of the Catholic Faith in an epic media experience.  We will witness a vision of the Catholic Faith that has never before been seen.  From the lands of the Bible to the great shrines of Europe, from the heartland of America, to the mysteries of Asia, and the beating heart of Africa, see the passion and glory of the Faith that claims over 1.1 billion of the earth's people.

This magnificent video series is hosted by Father Robert Barron.  Fr. Barron is recognized as "one of the Church's best messengers."  He is a prominent theologian, author, speaker, and cultural commentator.

 

This is open to parishioners and non-parishoners.  Please bring your friends ad neighbors.

All showings will be in the Maronite Heritage Institute.  Please mark your calendars.  We hope to see you there.

The second event:

March 1: Fr. Gary George will hold a Day of Recollection for us.  The details are not worked out yet, but it will be for the men and women of the parish (and any guests from outside the parish who are interested in coming).  We will provide more details as the event gets closer.

First Meeting for 2014

The Ladies Society meeting has been canceled for Tuesday, January 7 due to the weather. The first meeting of the new year will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at 7:00 P.M. in the Lebanon room. All the ladies of the parish are welcome to attend, whether you are a member or not. Please bring a friend or a family member. Meet the new officers and learn about the new agenda for the new year. Since we are canceling the meeting in January the February meeting will focus on the Fashion show that will be in March. Hope to see everyone soon!
